Cleveland Museum of Art: Artist in the Atrium

This will be awesome and weird— I’ll be the designated “Artist in the Atrium” for the Cleveland Museum of Art (11150 East Blvd.), making art live (and I’ll bring materials for other folks to create with too!) on Saturday, March 21st from 11:00am-3:00pm. See you there!

Afterward, I’ll be doing a signing at Superscript Comics and Games from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Carbondale, IL: SIU Saluki Con

I’ll be in Carbondale as a special guest for SIU’s Saluki Con on Saturday, April 18th from 10am-5pm! I’ll have books, prints, and some original artwork available as well.

It’ll be at the SIU Student Center (1255 Lincoln Drive, Carbondale, IL 62901), and will coincide with a visit I’m making to SIU along with an exhibition of my original artwork at the Sharp Museum.

Rockville, MD: SPX-- *debut of DIANA*

Once again, I’ll be proudly tabling in the DC area at the Small Press Expo— I’ll have books, prints, and original artwork for sale, but most important, SPX will feature the debut of both my new graphic novel Diana and the expanded paperback rerelease of my Eisner-nominated Come Again!

SPX will take place at the Bethesda North Marriott (5701 Marinelli Rd., Rockville, MD 20852)— Saturday 9/12 from 11:00am-7:00pm, and Sunday 9/13 from 12:00-5:00pm.

I’m also working on plans for an event the Friday before SPX at a DC art gallery— more info on that as it’s confirmed.

Ann Arbor, MI: A2CAF

I’ll be tabling at A2CAF at the Ann Arbor District Library (343 S. 5th Ave.) on Saturday, October 3rd from 11:00am-5:00pm, and I’ll have copies of my brand new graphic novel Diana a few days ahead of publication day, as well as my other books, new prints, and original artwork.

Bloomington IN: early-bird signing for DIANA

I’ll be doing a book-release signing for Diana (and the expanded rerelease of Come Again and Fall Through) a few days ahead of publication date at Bloomington’s own Vintage Phoenix Comics (114 E. 6th St.) on Sunday, October 4th from 2-4pm!

I’ll also have some new prints and original artwork, in case you’re interested.

Be sure to head over to Morgenstern Books on Nov. 12th at 6pm for a talk about Diana and the entire triptych of books—looking forward to discussing it all!

Cleveland Institute of Art-- lunchtime interview

If you’re a student at the Cleveland Institute of Art, I’ll be doing a “Lunch on Fridays” interview about my work and creative path on Friday, March 20th from 12:15-1:30 pm at the Peter B. Lewis Theater (11610 Euclid Ave.). See you there!

There’ll be a signing the next evening at Superscript, but I’m happy to sign books while at CIA as well!

Orlando, FL: Original Art Expo!

I’m honored to be a special guest at OAX, a show dedicated to original artwork from an incredible lineup of cartoonists and illustrators!

OAX will be happening February 20-22 at the DoubleTree Hotel (5780 Major Blvd.) in Orlando, FL. I’ll be selling original pages, illustrations, and a handful of commissions at table A39— and as a bonus, my art dealer Athenaeum Comic Art will have more artwork of mine at their booth as well!

I also made an original piece to be auctioned off on the 21st, with a portion of the auction price going to benefit the Hero Initiative and the Jack Kirby Museum. Here it is, featuring my late, great friend and collaborator John Lewis flanked by Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler— proxy bidding is now open here.

"Imprinted: Illustrating Race" exhibition at Delaware Art Museum

I have five pieces of original artwork from the March trilogy on display as a part of the Norman Rockwell Museum’s “Imprinted: Illustrating Race” exhibition at the Delaware Art Museum (2301 Kentmere Parkway, Wilmington DE 19806) from October 18th, 2025 to March 1st, 2026.

The museum is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10am-4pm.

My pieces will be alongside work by Norman Rockwell, Thomas Nast, Jerry Pinkney and Brian Pinkney, Arthur Burdette Frost, Romare Bearden, Emory Douglas, Howard Pyle, Loveis Wise, Rudy Gutierrez, Robyn Philips Pendleton, Zetta Elliot, and more.

After the exhibit closes at Delaware Art Museum, it is scheduled to move to the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, TN.

Saturday, November 23rd I’ll be discussing Fall Through and my magical realist fiction alongside writer extraordinaire Brian Michael Bendis and moderator/editor Charlie Kochman for the “Fantasy World: Survival, Spells & Sorcery” panel, with Q&A and a signing afterward! 12pm in the MAGIC screening room (Building 8, Room 1).

Sunday, November 24th I’ll be discussing Lies My Teacher Told Me in the “Taking Another Look: Rethinking Historical Narratives” panel alongside David F. Walker, Marcus Kwame Anderson, and Tim Wendel, with Q&A and signing afterward. 2:30pm in the MAGIC screening room as well.
