Columbus OH-- SPACE!

I’ll be at indie gem SPACE in Columbus, OH with my new books Fall Through and Lies My Teacher Told Me— it’ll be at the Rhodes Center in the Ohio State Fair & Expo grounds (the last time I was there, my bands Soophie Nun Squad and Boomfancy played there in 2000!).

I’ll also be doing a talk/Q&A about my work on Lies and my different creative approaches to fiction vs. nonfiction work at 2pm Saturday.

Ann Arbor MI: 'FALL THROUGH' & 'LIES' artwork exhibit!

I’ll be showcasing original artwork from my two new books, Fall Through and Lies My Teacher Told Me, in the Ann Arbor District Library (343 S. 5th Ave.) from May 29th to July 9th in an exhibit entitled “Astray: Nate Powell’s Sorcerer Punks and US History Myths.”

I’ll also be discussing this work and my different creative approaches to fiction and nonfiction on May 31st, with Q&A and a signing to follow. See you there!

Bloomington-- Coffee With Friends talk about 'FALL THROUGH' + more

Bloomington— I’ll be discussing my work on the new graphic novel Fall Through (and more) with Monroe County Public Library’s Coffee With Friends group!

(I recommend picking up a copy of Fall Through first, possibly at my Feb. 9th talk/signing at Morgenstern’s.)

This will be at the downtown MCPL branch, rooms 1B-1C from 2pm-3pm. I’ll also be selling/signing books afterward for anyone who’s interested— see you there!

Columbus OH-- CXC

I’ll be an exhibitor at Cartoon Crossroads (CXC) in Columbus, Ohio all weekend! It’ll be at the Columbus Metropolitan Library (96 S. Grant), 11-5 Saturday and 1-5 Sunday.

This will be my last show before two new books are released next year: Fall Through and Lies My Teacher Told Me. Swing by my table and you’re welcome to take a peek at my personal printed-out copies of those books!

The big items I’ll have are two new 16”x20” full-color artist prints for Fall Through— these are signed, numbered, and limited to editions of 70 each! $20 each or both for $35.

On Saturday at 1:00 pm, I’ll be on the “Punk and Comics” panel in the auditorium, alongside Raeghan Buchanan, Shelly Bond, and Derf Backderf, moderated by Craig Fischer. See you there!

I’ll be discussing my nonfiction, historical & memoir work on this “Comics Out Of Life: Conversations With Our Past” panel, alongside Thien Pham and moderator Raina Telgemeier— as a part of A2CAF in Ann Arbor, Michigan!

North Little Rock, Arkansas-- Trusty tribute show!

I’ll be playing my first show in 12 years— with my Soophie family, covering a few songs from the first Trusty LP in a tribute to these Arkansas/DC trailblazers, and as a memorial to beloved drummer Bircho, who passed away in 2020. Our four-piece will be members of Deadbird, Pallbearer, Universe, Tem Eyos Ki, R.I.O.T.S., and half of Soophie Nun Squad! Trusty themselves will also be playing, with Marcus Lowe on drums!
